How to make besan ka cheela

Besan Chilla is one of the most delicious, healthy and easy to cook breakfast. I have seen some of the dietitian recommend besan chilla in to the breakfast menu of those who wish to have weight loss. It can have some variation in terms of ingredients and taste. Making and omelette and besan chilla is little bit similar.You can serve them with any type of chutney or may be without chutney. Besan Cheela can be served other then breakfast and can be given in brunch or lunch too. 

1 Cup Besan
1 Cup Water
2 Tsp Salt (Can be adjusted according to taste)
1/2 Finely Chopped Onion
1 Capsicum
1 Tsp Red Chilly Powder (Can be skipped if making for kids)
1 Tsp Ajwain
1 Tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
2 Tomatoes (Without Seed)
1 Green Chilly Finely Chopped (Can be skipped if making for kids)
1 Lemon
1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves
Oil for Frying

Process of Making Besan ka Cheela:
1.Finely chop all the ingredients

2. Put besan in bowl

3. Add salt, red chilly powder, ajwain, jeera (cumin seeds)

4.Now add onion,tomatoes,capsicum & green chilies, mix them well and do not add water initially, because besan will absorb the water of vegetables.
5. Add half of the water, and mix well, then add rest of the water and mix again, if the mixture seems thick then add few spoons of water more. After the mix is ready add lemon juice. You have to remeber that there should be no lumps and the mixture should be smooth.
6. Heat a tawa or a flat pan on a low flame. You can use an iron tawa or a non stick pan. If using iron griddle or tawa, then spread a bit of oil on the tawa. let the pan become medium hot. Then take a ladle full of the batter and pour on the pan, gently with the back of the ladle, begin to spread the batter. Spread lightly and gently so that the cheela does not break.

7. Serve hot with chutney.
