Manali is situated 40 kms away from Kullu and close to Beas river. This place is great for holidays. Shimla is known as the queen of hill stations. Shimla was the summer capital of India in early days. While visiting manali you can visit Manikaran which is about 45 kms. Manikaran lies in the Parvati Valley, the holy pilgrimage place of Manikaran. Here icy cold waters of the Parvati river co-exists with boiling water side-by-side. The hot water springs are reputed for their healing properties.
Day 1: Delhi to Shimla - Arrive Delhi and transfer by road to Shimla (343 kms / 8 hrs) the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Arrive & check in hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Stay overnight.
Day 2: Shimla - This morning you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hours drive from Shimla. Later this afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo hills that offer a panoramic view of the town visit the Vice Regal Lodge and walk down the Mall Road. Stay overnight.
Day 3: Shimla to Manali - Today you will proceed by road to Manali (274 kms / 7hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 metres. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, which gradually close in on both sides of the Beas and nestling in their shade, as though carved out of primeval forest, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque resort. Arrive & check in hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Stay overnight.
Day 4: Manali - This morning you may take a walking tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. You also visit the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center. The rest of the day at leisure OR walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs. Stay overnight.
Day 5: Manali - This morning you visit the Solang Valley and the not to be missed Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions). Stay overnight.
Day 6: Manali to Chandigarh - In the morning after breakfast drive to Chandigarh (272 kms / 7 hrs drive). Chandigarh, the beautiful capital of Punjab and Haryana, is on the edge of the Sivalik Hills, the outermost edge of the Himalayas. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Stay overnight.
Day 7: Chandigarh to Delhi - Early Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & Transfer to hotel. Later half day City tour of Delhi, visiting Jama Masjid, Chandni-Chowk, President house, Parliament House, India Gate etc.
