Detailed Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrival in Delhi Arrival
at the airport and Namaskar from India, you will
find our representative waiting for you, you will be
greeted and will be transfer to the pre booked hotel
of your choice. The briefing will be done by our
representative once you settled at the hotel.
Day 2:
Delhi - Agra - Jaipur Today, the day will start early
and you will start your day with an early morning
train to Agra. On arrival, our driver will welcome
you at Agra Train station. Come and visit the Red
fort and the fabulous Taj Mahal. After day
excursion, you will be dropped at agra cantt station
to catch a train to Jaipur in the evening. Arrival
at Jaipur, our driver will welcome you and will take
you to the pre-booked hotel.
Day 3:
Jaipur Jaipur which is also called
pink city, it has got his name when long time back
the prince visited this city and it was colored pink
in his honor, since then the the color of the city
never changed. This city is almost 260 years old, it
was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, who is known for
building Jantar Mantar which has its astronomical
importance. Visit City Palace built by Maharaja,
Hawa Mahal. Ovenight at the pre booked hotel.
Day 4:
Jaipur - Delhi Morning visit Amber Fort with
an Elephant ride till the main entrance of the fort.
Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State.
Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory
glittering with mirrors. Rest of the day is free and
after that drop to train station to catch a train to
Delhi. Arrival at delhi and pickup from station,
transfer to pre booked hotel.
Day 5:
Delhi - Varanasi Morning is free for relaxation
and shopping, evening board an overnight train to
varanasi.
Day 6:
Varanasi Arrival at varanasi and checkin
to the pre booked hotel. Briefing by the local agent
for the further tour. Varanasi is one of the oldest
and holiest city of India, it is also the oldest
living city in the world, which kept its heritage
till today. Varanasi is full of temples and you will
find thousands of pilgrims and devotees doing aarti
in the evening on Ghats.
Day 7:
Varanasi Morning boat cruise at the
river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims
by the Ghats. Visit the deer park and the museum and
later back to Varanasi. Night stay in Varanasi.
Day 8:
Varanasi - Bodhgaya leave for Bodhgaya - one of the
holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centers in the state of
Bihar, en-route visiting Sarnath - the spot where
Budhha first preached over 2,000 years ago. The
archaeological museum displays the Ashoka Pillar
(264-226 B.C.), the emblem of independent India.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9:
Bodhgaya Sighteeing tour of Bodhgaya.
Visit Mahabodhi Temple and Niranjana River.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10:
Bodhgaya - Nalanda -
Rajgir - Patna Departure in direction of
Patna, en-route visit Rajgir and Nalanda. Patna is
2500 year old capital city of Bihar. Rajgir was
capital of 6th century Magadha Empire and was
revered site of Buddha's discourses. Buddha spent
many years here. Nalanda is the world's oldest
university founded in the 5th century. Overnight at
hotel.
Day 11:
Patna - Kushinagar Drive to Kushinagar after
Patna, en-route visit Vaishali - located 60 kms from
Patna and holds special significance for Buddhist
devotees. Kushinagar Situated in the North Indian
state of Uttar Pradesh, 51 km off Gorakhpur. Is one
of the principal centers of Buddhist pilgrimage is
the place of Mahaparinrvana. The monument of
Kushinagar are situated in three distinct comprising
in the main site of the Nirvana Temple houses over
6meter long statue of the reclining Buddha The image
was unearthed during the excavations in 1876.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 12:
Kushinagar - Lumbini Drive to Lumbini. Located in
the flat plains of South-Western Nepal and the
foothills of Churia range is kind of holy sentiment
to the millions of Buddhists all over the world-as
do the Jerusalem to Christians and Mecca to Muslims.
Lumbini is the place Lord Buddha -the apostle of
peace and the light of Asia was born in 623 B. C.
Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 13:
Lumbini - Sravasti Departure in direction of Sravasti. Another of the most commonly visited
places of Buddhist pilgrimage is Shravasti. It is
here that the Buddha is said to have performed great
miracles. One story tells of how on throwing down
the seed of a mango, a great mango tree instantly
arose. Another story tells of how the Buddha stood
in the air, the lower part of his body engulfed in
flames, with five hundred jets of water streaming
from the top of his body.Overnight stay at the
hotel.
Day 14:
Shravasti Local Sight Seeing of the place
and overnight at the Hotel.
Day 15:
Shravasti - Delhi Shravasti to Lucknow by car and
drop to Lcuknow Train station to catch a train to
Delhi for same day travel. Arrive in the late
evening and pickup and transfer to pre booked hotel.
Overnight at pre booked hotel.
Day 16:
Delhi - Aurangabad Drop to Airport to catch a
flight to Aurangabad. Arrival and pickup by our
Agent and Transfer to pre booked hotel. Visit Ajanta
Caves today.
Ajanta caves: Nestling in an
inner fold of the Sahyardi hills, 100 km from
Aurangabad in the shape of a mammoth horse- shoe,
are the 30 rock-hewn caves of Ajanta. The Caves date
from the 2nd century BC. Discovered in 1819 by a
group of British army officers, these startling
achievements took around 600 years to create. Carved
with little more than a hammer and chisel, Ajanta,
once the retreat of Buddhist monastic orders
features several 'chaityas' (chapels) and 'viharas'
(monasteries). Return to Aurangabad and overnight
will be at Aurangabad.
Day 17:
Aurangabad Visit Ellora Caves.
Ellora Caves: Impressive in
their own right is the rock-hewn temples and
monasteries of Ellora that lie just 30 km away from
Aurangabad city. In all, there are 34 cave temples,
12 Mahayana Buddhist caves (550-750 AD), 17 Hindu
caves (600-875 AD) and 5 caves of the Jain faith
(800-1000 AD) 22 more caves, dedicated to Lord
Shiva, were recently discovered. Kailas Temple
(cave16), the central attraction at Ellora, is the
most remarkable.
Aurangabad Caves: The almost
forgotten caves of Aurangabad lie just outside the
city. Excavated between the 2nd and 6th century AD,
they reflect TANTRIC influences in their iconography
and architectural designs. In all there are nine
caves which are mainly viharas (monasteries).
Overnight will be at Aurangabad.
Day 18:
Mumbai Morning Train to Mumbai.
Arrival and pickup by our agent, evening free for
relaxation and shopping, transfer to pre booked
hotel Day 19:
Mumbai - International
Airport Day Excursion and evening drop
to International Airport to catch a flight back.
