In the year 1987, Arunachal Pradesh came in existence as an Indian state. It is situated in the north east India. The state has been promoted by the tourism department on various platforms due to its unexplored beauty. In the west it shares International borders with Bhutan, and in north-east with China, and with Myanmar in the east. Arunachal Pradesh is one of the largest state area-wise in the north-east region. History of Arunachal Pradesh

There is no solid information about the hoistory of the place, it is said that the during the pre-historic period ancestors of some tribal group migrated from Tibet to Arunchal Pradesh. In 500 BC and 600 AD, the north western part of this state was controlled by Monpa Kingdom of Monyul, after that this region was under an unofficial control of Tibet. There was a Famous 550 kms McMohan line was drawn by the British administrator Sir Henry McMohan, in the year 1913-14. The line act as a border between India and Tibet as per Simla Conference, as Britain sought to advance its line of control and establish buffer zones around its colony in South Asia. The Tibetan and British representatives at the conference agreed to the line, but the Chinese representative refused to accept the line owing to domestic pressures. The NEFA (North East Frontier Agency) was created in 1954. During the war in 1962 PRC captured most of the NEFA. However, the PRC soon declared victory and voluntarily withdrew back to the McMahon Line and returned Indian prisoners of war in 1963. Arunachal Pradesh was administered as the North East Frontier Agency (NEFA) until 1972, when it became the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh. It was given full statehood in November 1986.

- Brahmaputra Darshan Festival:
The festival is related to the worship of the river Brahmaputra, its a grand festivals held in the month of January every year. This includes dance, music and various local traditional sports. Tourist can explore new places each year as the festival celebrated at different place every year.
- Khan Festival: Khan Festival is a Festival of Miji Tribe of Arunachal Pradesh. Its a religious festival where priests ties a thread around the neck of the people and pray to the god for protection from evil forces.
- Monpa Festival: The festival is associated with the harvest where local god is prayed for the protection of the harvest from evil and supernatural forces.
- Sangken Festival: The sang ken festival is a Buddhist festival but celebrated by all the locals. The Buddha's statues are given bath and the home made sweets are distributed. The festival celebrated three consecutive days.
- Torgya Festival: It celebrates the destruction of negative forces and the ushering in of prosperity, peace and good will. It is also believed that the rituals performed during the Festival of Torgya help ward off natural calamities and other disasters.
- Choekhor Festival: Choekhor is basically a festival of harvesting season celebrated by the whole village of the community in all its grandness and jovial mood. People pray to their Gods to protect their crops from any natural calamity and increase their yield further.
- Losar Festival: Its a festival celebrated for 15 days. People clean their houses and throw away all the waste material in expectation prosperity to come their house. All people and relatives meet each other on this occasion.
- Saga Dawa Festival: Its a Buddhist festival, it is believed that on the day of celebration, Buddha was enlightened. On this day Buddha achieved Nirvana.

Music of Arunachal Pradesh
The music of Arunachal Pradesh includes songs that are sung like fables. The theme of these songs are mostly animals or creatures, which emphasizes on moral deduction.
- Baryi: Baryi is a narrative that sings the praise of past history of Arunachal Pradesh.

The cuisine of Arunachal Pradesh is incomplete without the mention of Thukpa. It is basically a preparation of noodles with soup-minced meat. These are available in three varieties :
A) Dre-Thuk : It is made out of noodles and soup minced meat.
B) Ashum Thukpa : It is made of maize, beans and meat.
C) Bak-tza : It is yet another type of thukpa made in the same manner but here the noodles are replaced with flat rectangular shaped dough.
Alcohol is an integral part of their cuisine and is served in almost every meal.
