Adoni is a western part of Andhra
Pradesh which comes under the Kurnool district. Adoni
is located about 226 kms from Hyderabad, the capital of
Andhra Pradesh. Adoni is the oldest municipalty way
back 1865. Adoni was known as Yadavagiri in 16th
centruy when Yadavas were ruling Adoni. Later on
Yadavagiri changed to Adavani during the Islmaic ruler
controlled the Adoni City and much later
during the British rule it became Adoni. Adoni
city is well known for its textile work, Adoni is
also called the business town of Andhra Pradesh. Adoni
city has a mix culture of Andhra and Karnataka.
